DIY Wedding Plates & Cups

For our wedding I really wanted to have monogramed plates, but after looking into it I didn’t want to spend too much money on them. So I decided how hard can it be?! I’ll just do it myself and when I say myself I mean I will assemble my team of amazing friends!

At first I had the bright idea to order all the plates from the dollar store, and then quickly changed my mind because I didn’t want to be stuck with 250 glass plates to wash and store. Plastic it was, and I couldn’t have been happier with that decision because the clean up was quick and easy.

Alright onto the fun stuff.

I ordered white plastic plates from Amazon, (click for direct link) and was so excited about them. They were a really good heavy quality but I think I still had maybe one break.

Next, the vinyl, for you guessed it - THE STICKERS!!! All the plates got a sticker! My wonderful friend cut out all 250 stickers for me using her Cricut!! If you don’t know what this is or haven’t looked into one, you really should! For anyone worried about having their guest eat off a plate with a sticker, it worked out totally fine for us. My friend even gave the stickers a test run through the dishwasher and everything survived!

After you have the plates and stickers you have all the materials! Now you need another sweet friend like the one I have to come over and help you sticker the night away!! Except we had one little glitch in our evening. After finishing a package of plates, I went to find the others that said they were delivered that day. I had only ordered one at first to see if I liked them. Well, after looking and looking and looking and wondering where the heck these things could have gotten off to, I checked my order. I had them shipped to my grandmothers house where I used to live. Using Amazon and multiple addresses can get a little confusing. Thankful my friend and I got some quality time and that she wasn’t upset about my carelessness!

The cups I can’t take credit for, but I wanted to share because we loved these too!! We decided to use these as our favors as well as our cups for the bar! I used a website called TotallyPromotional. They have so many options! I linked the ones we used! These would also be great to get for a birthday, engagement party or bachelorette weekend.
