Hey there darling!! Thanks for stopping by!

Have you ever written a blog about yourself? Yeah me either, so lets see how this goes. I just wanted to introduce myself and tell you a little about why I started this blog.

I am 28 years old and live in Maryland, with my husband, Mike and my dog, Henry. I wanted to start this blog to share the story of our sweet home, The Runk Roost. I am a lover of all things home- design and decor. Buying a fixer upper was a dream come true and I thought it would be so fun to share our journey. Now that our house is finished I wanted to keep sharing all the projects that we continue to do!

I am a home body that believes the best part about your home is the people you share it with, and lets be honest how it’s decorated helps too. I love DIY projects and pretty much will try anything out, some don’t always go as planned but that’s life. On my blog I am hoping to share all things about my life, fashion, love story, home, Henry and whatever else you guys want to see!! I am all about being real!! Yes, our house gets messy, yes my husband and I argue, yes my dog drives me crazy some days. Life is more fun if you share the truth about who you are with others. You never know what people are going through and you just might be the real someone needed that day!

When I love, I love hard. I will do anything for the people I love, and sometimes that can be a huge flaw. I've never been a person to put myself first and I am beginning to learn that is such an important thing to do. Taking care of yourself and your needs is just as important as everyone else. I try my best to always be a kind loving person (I said try my best)! I am human and have bad days where I don’t always play by my own rules.

Some of my favorite things are, my dog, my husband, my family, Dr. Pepper, 7-11 taquitos, salt & vinegar chips, shopping for home decor, my Ugg slippers and black leggings, cozy blankets, my bed and sleeping in. I am a very simple person and am very happy and lucky to have the life I do.
