Stool Makeover

I have decided to share some of my crafts with you step by step! I have always been a fan of making things myself, if I can. Secretly, in my mind, I can do it all. Lets be real though sometimes things don't turn out the way we plan! I recently stopped in Habitat for Humanity and found the most adorable stools!! Well to me they were adorable and I saw a lot of potential. My fiancé on the other hand doesn't understand why, "I have to have," half of this stuff. (We don't own a home, or live together.) Maybe he is right, but I have to cutest storage area in America people. Anyway, back to THE STOOLS.

I know what you're thinking, these really aren't that cute. I am with you. After purchasing these stools for..... $10!!! (yes total) I went to Hobby Lobby. I knew I wanted a simple fabric with neutral colors to redo the cushions. I purchased enough fabric for $3.94. That was the highlight of my night. Now, the fun part! 

Supplies:

Fabric

Scissors 

Staple Gun

Cushions to cover

All I had to do was cut the fabric so that it was large enough to wrap around each of the cushions. Remember the bottom of the cushions don't have to be pretty. Pull the fabric as tight as you can and staple away!! The corners were a little tricky but I folded them like I would when wrapping a present. 

It was as simple as that!! After stapling the fabric on, it was time to see the finished product!

It always amazes me how such a simple change can make the biggest difference. I will dress these up with a pillow and a blanket when they eventually have their very own spot!! Who doesn't love to sit in a cozy seat?!
